He is Risen indeed. Alleluia!

He is Risen indeed. Alleluia!

Don’t forget to Make a Mother’s Day if you can – And pray for all mothers especially those who are afraid for their children in war-zones and in countries where there is little food and no clean water

Mothering Sunday is very special to all those fortunate enough to have mothers to give flowers and cards to but let us not forget those people who have lost their mothers in recent years, and those who don’t really know who or where their mother is and find Mothering Sunday so difficult to cope with.

On Mothering Sunday at Moulsham, St Luke’s, Chelmsford we focused on ‘mothering’ not just mothers, recognising that many women find the day to be difficult for a variety of reasons, we also wanted to show how to grow a family well. Lucy Bubb

Let us pray for the people of Egypt: There were major attacks in 2017 against Christian churches. There have also been many sexual assaults. Christian children in Egypt face many difficulties. In countless villages they are bullied and ostracised, usually ignored by the teachers. Arthur Tear

St Joseph: There is still much more that we would like to know about Joseph - where and when he was born and how and when he died. But Scripture leaves us with the most important knowledge of who he was - “her husband Joseph being a righteous man” (Matthew 1:18). A wonderful epitaph for anybody! Alan Vine
