Heavenly Father we pray for all those people who are struggling with nature’s anger, all those who have lost their homes and livelihoods’, the firefighters who are worn and weary, those who are struggling to cope. We pray for the Australian wildlife caught up there and to all those generous souls who have donated to those who have lost everything.
St Michael’s Myland, Colchester MU held their Christmas Celebrations and a Carol Service on December 4th at which our Deanery Chair, Vivien Chapman, was commissioned by Colchester Area Dean Paul Norrington. We invited all the local branches and families too. 57 people attended and joined us for refreshments afterwards in the Church Hall.
Congratulations to Vivien Chapman who was Commissioned as Colchester Deanery M.U. Chairman during an Advent Service at Myland Church in December. Joining Vivien was the Vicar of Myland, Rev. Ray Gibbs, Branch Leader of Myland M.U., Ivy Dix, Diocesan M.U. President, Judith Meaden, Vivien, Area Dean, Revd. Canon Paul Norrington.
Our condolences to Joan Richardson’s family and friends over their sad loss, Joan died on Friday 17th Jan. Joan’s funeral is to take place on Monday 17th February at 2.30pm at St. John's Church Danbury.
Heavenly Father, no woman, child or man should have to suffer violence from another person, no matter what! MU minds are focused all the year on those who suffer in silence but especially so during November and December.
