Let us remember all those people who passed away during 2018. Family members, friends and neighbours, people we have loved, and now miss. Sad we may be, but we can rest assured that they are now in the loving arms of our Saviour.
Margaret Harvey, our Diocesan Secretary, will stand down in the summer of 2019. We need someone to take over from her as this role is vital to the Diocese – IF YOU COULD SERVE GOD IN THIS WAY, please get in touch - thank you.
Lynne Tembey served for six years as Mothers’ Union Worldwide President before stepping down at the end of 2018. She received an honour from Archbishop Justin Welby for her 40 years of service to the Mothers’ Union.
St Aidan was very modest and caring, and he quickly gained the respect of the people he wanted to convert to Christianity. He was very humble and generous, any money he received would be given to the poor and needy only keeping a meager amount for himself.
