At the Chelmsford Cathedral Mothers' Union meeting we had a ‘Pudding Evening’ where we were able to try out all the different and exciting puddings that our members made.
We could taste, share and pick up the recipes. We had some really yummy puddings to try, some family favourites and some new and tasty recipes, so there were plenty of new sweets to try out on our unsuspecting families.
Despite the trend in takeaways and packaged meals these days it seems that the skill of baking is still strong among our members, and though fast food is handy for people who may be at work or leading busy lives there can be nothing quite so comforting and exciting than coming home to the delicious smell of home cooking.
Why don’t you arrange for your MU group to have a pudding evening and you’ll be pleasantly surprised at how many beautiful cakes, pies and puddings your members come up with. Don’t forget to share your recipes with each other and you could share them with us too. If you find a really delicious pudding or an unusual sweet why don’t you send me the recipe and I will upload it so that all our members can try it.
Email email@example.com Don’t forget to send a picture of your pudding too,
