Mary Sumner Day Celebration

Judith Meaden and the trustees are delighted to advise you that we’ll be holding a service of celebration to mark both Mary Sumner Day (she died 100 years ago this year) and celebrate that we, as members of CDMU, can finally meet together in faith and fellowship. The service will be in Chelmsford Cathedral on Monday 9th August 2021.
The service will be held at 2pm and the Cathedral will be available to us from 1:30pm.
Tea and coffee will be served in the Cathedral at the end of the service but please bring your own cup/mug and Judith has arranged a cake in a bag for all attending to take away with them. We also hope to have diaries, calendars and year planners for 2022 available to purchase on the day (depending on them arriving from the suppliers).
In view of the current fluctuating situation, everyone will be asked to sign in so, although there is no need to book in prior to the event; as our numbers are limited to 120 and to aid in ordering the correct amount of refreshments, I would be really grateful if you could let me know if you are planning to attend using the contact details below.
The trustees ask that, out of consideration to others, you wear a mask but if you find this difficult, you will be asked to sit further away from those wearing masks.
Do please come and bring another member with you – Judith would love this to be a real celebration of our CDMU life together – shared love, faith and fellowship.
