Day of Prayer and Action- this Sunday

As we embark on this journey we will join together in a national Day of Prayer and Action, this Sunday 22 March, Mothering Sunday. We will remember those who are sick or anxious and those working in our Health Service. As one action we are calling on everyone to place a lighted candle in their window at 7pm as a sign of solidarity and hope in the light of Christ that can never be extinguished.

Dear members, as you may be aware, following yesterday’s Government announcement, the Church of England has updated its guidance on the coronavirus.

In view of recommendations by the Government and the Church of England, it is advised that no Mothers Union meetings should be held. Further information regarding Council in May will follow in due course. Our thoughts and prayers are with all members and their families, both here in the UK and overseas, during this difficult time.
