Our branch at Emmanuel Parish Church in Leyton has been up and running this last 8years and we are immensely grateful to the almighty God.
We celebrated this August occasion with a very special Dinner and Dance held on the 7th of September and we held a thanksgiving service on Sunday the 8th during our Parish Sunday service.
In attendance and to celebrate with us were, HRH Oba Ajakaiye(Oluyin of Iyin Ekiti) and Olori Ajakaiye, the worshipful Mayoress of Waltham Forest Yemi Esho and her Consort, The Diocesan President Judith Meaden, The Deanery Chair Judith Woolnough, Deanery committee members and Mothers Union members from other branches.
Canon Ade Ademola our branch sponsor, charged us during the sermon to stay true to the mission of the Mothers' Union and to always keep the vision of our founder in sight.
As a branch he encouraged us to continue all we do in the Church and the community especially the ministry of prayer.
It was a successful weekend and we look to God for strength and grace as we journey on in Him as a branch.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who worked so hard to help make our anniversary weekend so special
It is good to Praise the Lord, Halleluiah. - Kemi Ademola
