Answering His call.

During Lent 2 years ago on the 27th of March to be precise as I sought Gods face for direction for the Mother’s Union. I had a night vision and saw this word “AMME”. I discountenanced it at first as it did not make sense and then I checked it up. I realised it means Wet nurse, Mother, Nanny or Grandmother.
I realised God was asking the branch to embark on outreaches to children that can’t be cared for by their Mothers or don’t have Mother’s to care for them.
The 1st thing our minds went to as I relayed my experience to the branch members was Motherless babies/ children’s homes.
I re-established branch overseas links with St Johns Grenada through Ms Jean Buffong who is a member and has now moved back home to Grenada.
Our 1st outreach was to the Queen Elizabeth Children’s home in Grenada.
We sent a donation of non-perishable items (including school essentials) that was shipped to Grenada and delivered to the home by the MU at St John's Church Grenada with Ms Jean Buffong in attendance.
We were also able to meet an imminent need for a dinning set for the children. The dinning set was not shop bought but made for the home.
We had a branch meeting yesterday and we were all deeply moved when Ms Buffong told us about the joy that radiated from the Children’s faces when the donation was received and the fact that the dinning set will enable the children to all eat together.
This project has further strengthened our link with St John's Grenada.
Hopefully more outreaches can be done by the branch in Collaboration with MU branches in other areas as the Lord leads, provides and gives grace. By Olukemi Ademola. MU Branch Leader – Emmanuel Church, Leyton
