Celebration at Saffron Walden

We had a very enjoyable afternoon.

The Saffron Walden branch of the Mothers' Union celebrated with a Garden Party on Thursday 17th August 2017. It was held in the Garden of Gwynneth Nicholas who is Deanery chair. Funeral Eucharist for Bishop John

Bishop John will be sadly missed

Hundreds gathered in Chelmsford Cathedral on Monday 7th August 17 for the Funeral Eucharist of the much loved and respected Bishop John Wraw who sadly lost his three-year long fight against his illness on 25th July 17. Daphne Elizabeth Gilbert

Daphne Elizabeth Gilbert's funeral was held on the 4th August 17, in St Mary's w St Leonard's Church in Broomfield. Revd Carolyn conducted the service. Daphne had been a life-long member of St Mary's Church, the spiritual home she loved. Daphne was dedicated to the church, she had a good life and was a woman of great faith. We had a great evening at Guy Harling's Garden Party, well... Not actually in the garden rather in the hall as it had been a very blustery day and we couldn't chance the weather.
